Matthew

In Welches, OR (about 45 min from Portland)
Don't be deceived by the smile on my face. It was FRRRRRReezing, rainy, snowy,...for hours in the wilderness. ;-) I am putting on a happy face for my happy 5th grader.

Ok....seriously....can you tell that's a fish? Right in the middle next to the biggest rock....I had 8 5th graders trying to get me to see if for about twenty minutes before I finally saw it!

Matthew played the part of Mr. Hill, the railroad owner, in his school play. He played the piano for one of the songs they sang. It was awesome.

Matthew at the District Pinewood Derby. He won two trophies but I can't remember which places. Like 2nd for his den and 4th overall i think....

Painted Hills

Braden at the Father and Son Campout at Priest Hole near Painted Hills.

After swimming, the party came back home for pizza, cupcakes and presents! Matthew was really happy with his day!

And here's one of our favorite missionaries! He's a little bit taller than me!

Fathers and Flapjacks at YW

Fathers and Flapjacks was a hit at yw Wed night! Pancakes and sausage for dinner started the evening and then we took the games outside. Relays with cardboard pancakes on spatulas, water from syrup bottles being squirted on flapjack fathers' faces and feeding dad's nilla wafers were among the big events.

Matthew's Science Fair project: Bottle Rockets

Whitney made the video for Matthew to put on display with his poster. 1 minute and 45 seconds. Whitney put it to music, so pause the music on the bottom of the blog page so you can hear it.

I'm done with Preschool

On the last day of preschool, the kids did a circus for the parents! Austin is a tiger and is the blur jumping through the ring of fire and then he is the strong man with some air bag muscles stuffed up his shirt!

Blond to brunette, honor band, wii and new baby

So Whitney is going to honor band tomorrow playing her oboe! It's a big honor and she's excited.
Braden wants me to let everyone know he's a professional playing tennis on the wii!
Austin went to the dr. for an ear infection this week. While there, the dr. listened to Austin's heart and tummy with a stethascope. Suddenly wide-eyed Austin asked the dr., "What's in my stomach?" The Dr. answered by asking, "Did you eat breakfast? Probably your breakfast" Dr. walked out and Austin whispered, "Mommy, is there a baby in my stomach?" I believe this question is based on the fact that we went and saw Marley and Me where the Dr. in the movie was listening to the baby's heart beat in her stomach with a stethascope.
Also,...my hair is now dark brown!

2 sweet pics

So, I can't help but show you my note streak on drums!
Cuz it's pretty sweet!

And here are our icicles on our icicle lights for Christmas!
